Sorry about the lousy title, but this is the best way to describe the topic without writing the long sentence.
Anyway...from the early MGS4 gameplay trailer we could see that the gameplay would be the same as MGS3.
Then some time after we got OSV, No legs in FPV, no controller scheme...etc...
Who would of you like to have the old controller scheme and gameplay elements?
Because I would, then it would be the ultimate MGS game.
This like it is just a copy of a Masterpiece that was out before no.4.
Thoughts?
I liked the way MGS4 was done. All the cutscenes, etc.
I didn't care about the controls, but it wasn't *that* bad.
Other then that, I don't see how MGS3 was any better, or worse then MGS4. Both had great stories(I actually like MGS4 more, as its more modern).

Are you saying they copied MGS3 into MGS4? If so, I can't really agree, as all I see copied is the camo index, and weapons/items. The camera(from subsistence), is something that was new during MGS3, but is common now. So I can't say that was copied.
I actually liked how MGS4 was split into ACTs, instead of just two parts like MGS3, MGS3 seemed like once you started you couldn't quit till the end. Where MGS4, you know you can pause/take a 15-30 minute break every act.
I know I sorta went off topic, but lol.
Well what I'm saying is that MGS4 is actually a copy of MGS3. For the first time they didn't had that drastic jump from sequel to sequel. I mean they did a hell of a lot of things, like podcasts, trailers, gameplay demos(MGO), etc...
But nothing new except the enemy AI and new approach to battle.
It was kind of a let down for me...
Oh...and there is no BB face camo.

I`m not looking at MGS4 as a copy of MGS3. There are a lot of new things in it.
As more and more MGS games are released, they`re running out of things to put in. Just like GTA. I like San Andreas more than GTA4. It has better things in it. I don`t know what new they might put in the next GTA game.
MGS4 inherited the camo system from MGS3 and it perfected it. There are a lot of weapons, including those you get from bosses. You san do more things with guards etc.
I only wish they kept the traditional controls. I hate using X to for confirmation in an MGS game.
I can see where you`re going John. MGS2 was a great improvement over MGS, and MGS3 over MGS2. They didn`t include something that revolutionary in MGS4, but I still like it. I really hope they do something great with MGS5.
To be honest with you I didnt actually care about th control system. Yes I was used to the old ways but like they say "You have to accept change" Okay it was hardwork the first few minutes of the game, getting to grips with everything and yada yada but after a few hours I got used to it and I was comfterble again.
