I got Alone in the Dark 5 for PS2 and I`m disappointed by it. I`we watched trailers for it for PS3 and when I played it on PS2 the game sucked.
First of all the gameplay is not that interesting. I was looking forward to using fire to destroy everything and other stuff, which didn`t exist on PS2.
Then comes the storyline. Nothing is explained. Edward wakes up, meets this old man which tells him he was preparing for this day his entire life.
You only know you have to walk the Path of Light and that`s it. I finished the game in a short time period.
So what I wanna know is the game any better on PS3?
They sat it is.On PS3 the game has many details that couldn't get implemented in PS2 version,apparently...
PS2 version is like a demo or something. Their main focus was PS3 and they made it for PS2 to earn some extra money. I hate stuff like that.

Lol, I downloaded the demo off of PSN, i'll let you know what I think of it.
i just downloaded the demo n tried it. meh its allright...lolz... it has alot of details especially walls looks really good...the background music is awesome. i was expecting better from this game

the controllers are easy. i heard the 360 version controllers are terrible which was released early.

The demo stopped downloading for some reason? WTF? So I have it downloading again.
I think I`ll get it. I watchet a lot of trailers for 360 version and I liked what I saw, and I herad they made some modifications and added some extra chapters to the PS3 version.
Trust me man, playing the game on new console will not bring that many things to play the game for a long time.
I played Splinter Cell 5 on PS2 and bought it for Ps3, and never finished it.
Was boring like hell, because I knew what was gonna happen.
Think again before considering to buy that game.

Can't say I exactly like it. As Manzoor said, its pretty dark/hard to see at scenes, + It gets blurry, and you have to "blink"(R3) otherwise you can't see anything.
I really can't say I would buy it. Maybe if I wanted to totally waste $50, lol.
I`m going crazy. I wanna buy a new game and I have no idea what to buy. I can`t wait for some new games to get released so I can`t decide between Alone in the Dark 5, Fallout 3 and Far Cry 2.
